Injection blow molding means that we should inject a tube with a injection machine first then blow the tube to bottle with a blow machine.

Injection blow molding means that we should inject a tube with a injection machine first then blow the tube to bottle with a blow machine.
Injection blow molding means that we should inject a tube with a injection machine first then blow the tube to bottle with a blow machine.For example,the molding of PC,AS & PET bottles.
And the weight(thickness) of products were determined by the tube.
We can not reduce the weight of the tube when the mould finished,but we can increase the weight of the tube by adjust the mould,that is to say,we can adjust the wall thickness of polycarbonate cylinder from 1.0mm up to 1.1,1.2,1.3,1.4mm.
However,the tube mould can not be restored when the weight increased.On the other hand,it will cost us a lot on making samples with different wall thickness.
Extrusion blow molding allows to produce a bottle in one process with the blowing machine and the tube is not necessary.For example,the molding of PE & PP bottles.
Another kind of injection blow molding allows to produce a PC(or some other material) bottle with a automatic injection & blowing machine,and the tube is also necessary during the molding process,but the injection & blowing are finished with the same machine,some of the high clean bottles such as baby feeding bottle are produced via this way.And few or no factory in China owns that equipment.
